From 6th July 2022, the Chinese Embassy in Mongolia has updated the visa application requirements, applicants should follow the steps below to apply for visa :
I. Appointment and inquiry
Embassy of China in Mongolia visa application service still implements the inquiry system by email, visa applicants are required to provide basic personal information, reason for visiting China, visa type and relevant visa documents to consulatemng@gmail.com, staff will pre-view applicant documents, after the pre-view passes our embassy will notify through the email inform applicant to send relevant documents by post.
Ⅱ. Documents requirements
After the pre-view passes, the visa application materials sent to the embassy should include the following:
1. Basic documents
1.1 Applicants’ original and photocopy of the passport : least six months of remaining validity date and a blank page of passport, a photocopy of passport information page
1.2 Original of signed visa application form and a confirmation page : visa application form should filled by online, print out the confirmation page, confirmation page and visa application unit number 9 should be signed by the applicant.
1.3 Original and electronic version of photograph : provide original recent standard, front, color, bareheaded photograph, burn the electronic version of photograph to CD.
1.4 Proof of legal stay or residence status (only for third country citizen) : if you are not Mongolian nationality, need to provide valid legal stay, residence, employment or student status proof documents or original and photocopy of valid visa.
1.5 Previous Chinese passport holder or original Chinese visa (applicable to foreign citizens those who were Chinese citizens and have obtained foreign citizenship) : if you are applying a Chinese visa for the first time you should provide original of previous Chinese passport and a photocopy of information page, If you have obtained Chinese visas before and want to apply for a Chinese visa with a renewed foreign passport that does not contain any Chinese visa, you should present the photocopy of the previous passport information page and the photocopy of previous visa as well, (If your name on the current passport differs from that on the previous one, you must provide an official document of name change).
1.6 Certificate of COVID-19 vaccination

Ⅲ. Precautions
1. Please do not sent documents by post to the embassy without pre-view by email, otherwise it will returned to the sender.
2. After receive the confirmation email, please be sure to follow the email requirements and check with confirmation email confirm all the documents are collect, according to the confirmation email put the documents to the envelop in order. Please be make sure according to the confirmation email submit all documents at once to improve email processing efficiency.
3. Visa application documents will be send by post processed by two ways services. If you are in special circumstances to submit or receive documents please contact our email or information phone.
4. For those who holds diplomatic passport and applying for diplomatic, official, courtesy type of visas please contact the consular section of embassy directly by email or information phone.
5. In case of any discrepancy, the Chinese version notice shall prevail.
