Ambassador Xing Haiming Meets with Mongolian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs

  On August 14, Ambassador Xing Haiming met with Mongolia's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Batzetzeg and exchanged views on China-Mongolia relations and international multilateral issues.

  Ambassador Xing said that the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Mongolia is developing rapidly, and exchanges and cooperation in various fields have achieved fruitful results. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Mongolia, and China-Mongolia relations are facing new opportunities for development. Not long ago, State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Mongolian Foreign Minister Gatbatel in Bangkok. Both sides reiterated that the two countries will continue to consolidate political mutual trust and take care of each other's core interests and major concerns. It is believed that China and Mongolia, as friendly neighbors, will maintain close communication on international and regional issues and set off a warm atmosphere for the series of celebrations for the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.

  Batzetzeg said that China is the primary direction of Mongolia's foreign policy and Mongolia attaches great importance to developing friendly relations with China. The Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is willing to maintain close communication with China on bilateral relations and multilateral issues, actively promote exchanges and cooperation in various fields, and make the relations between the two countries a model of neighbor relations in the new era.
