In order to provide more standardized and high-quality services to visa applicants, according to the unified arrangement of China, the embassy of China in Mongolia will start to use the electronic visa application form and online appointment system on August 1, 2020. The specific arrangements are as follows:.

1. From 1st August 2020, applicants (except for applicants applying for Hong Kong SAR visa and Macao SAR visa) will be required to fill in electronic applicantion forms at https://cova.cs.mfa.gov.cn, and directly enter the visa appointment page through the appointment link, or check the appointment time slots at https://avas.cs.mfa.gov.cn.

After completing the online application forms and making appointments, applicants are required to print out the application form and the confirmation page, and provide signature on the confirmation page, and then submit their passports and other application documents to the Consular Department of the embassy of China in Mongolia.

Please use English or Chinese to fill out the electronic application form (other languages are invalid). When filling out the electronic application form, Please ensure all the information are correct, complete, and truthful , and upload your own photo. Anyone suspected of deliberately concealing or fabricating information in the application form and uploading a photo other than the applicant will be deemed to be a fake visa application material upon verification, which will result in a series of consequences such as visa refusal.

To ensure the smooth transition to the online application and appointment, from August 1st to August 31st, the applicants may still submit the old version paper application forms without online appointment.

As of September 1st , 2020, the embassy of China in Mongolia will no longer accept old version paper application form and will strictly implement the online application and appointment.

2. The visa application process for Hong Kong SAR visa and Macao SAR visa will remain the same. There is no need to fill in the forms online or make appointments for submission so far. During the COVID-19 period, applicants are advised to visit the official websites of the Government of Hong Kong SAR immigration department (https://www.immd.gov.hk/) and the Government of Macao SAR Public Security Police Force (https://www.fsm.gov.mo/psp/cht/main.html) to check the latest visa application policy.

3. Applicants who hold a diplomatic passport or who are members of an important official delegations, are not required to make appointment on line. The above-mentioned applicants will only need to complete the online application forms at https://cova.cs.mfa.gov.cn and print out the confirmation page and application form. After signing on the above-mentioned forms, they could proceed to submit their passports and other application documents directly to the Consular Department of the embassy in Mongolia.

4.The embassy of China in Mongolia reminds you once again that the visa policy for China during the COVID-19 pandemic has not been adjusted. It is strictly in accordance with the announcement made by The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Immigration Administration of the People's Republic of China on March 27, 2020.
