The Chinese Embassy in Mongolia holds a symposium on for Chinese-funded enterprises

On January 30, the Chinese Embassy in Mongolia held a symposium for Chinese-funded enterprises to celebrate the Year of Dragon. Representatives of the China Chamber of Commerce in Mongolia and central state-owned enterprises, state-owned enterprises, local enterprises and private companies in Mongolia gathered together to learn from the Central Conference on Work Relating to Foreign Affairs, exchange opinions on operation in Mongolia. The companies celebrated the Chinese New Year in a different way. 

Ambassador Shen Minjuan conveyed the contents of the Central Conference on Work Relating to Foreign Affairs and pointed out that President Xi Jinping’s summary of China’s diplomatic achievements in the past ten years is inspiring and that major-country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics will be more promising in the future. China will continue to build a community with a shared future for mankind, deepen high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, advocate an equal and orderly multipolarity and inclusive economic globalization. We will work with other countries in the world to safeguard peaceful development, fairness and justice to show the responsibility of a major developing country.

Ambassador Shen Minjuan said that Mongolia is an important neighbor of China and an important partner in the BRI. Last year was a year of rapid improvement in China-Mongolia economic and trade cooperation. Bilateral trade volume increased by 35%, hitting a record high of nearly 17 billion US dollars. This is a vivid portrayal of the Belt and Road cooperation between the two countries and a community with a shared future, which cannot be separated from the contributions of Chinese-funded enterprises in Mongolia and the China Chamber of Commerce.

Ambassador Shen Minjuan pointed out that 2024 marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Mongolia and the 10th anniversary of the comprehensive strategic partnership. Chinese-funded enterprises and the China Chamber of Commerce in Mongolia must understand the spirit of the Central Conference on Work Relating to Foreign Affairs, integrate economic activities into the overall foreign policy to contribute to domestic high-quality development and China-Mongolia friendship.

Zhang Yibo, Chairman of the China Chamber of Commerce and business representatives said that they will benchmark against the goals of Chinese modernization and high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, adhere to legal operations, strive to pioneer and innovate, fulfill social responsibilities, and work for better economic and trade cooperation with Mongolia.

This symposium was part of the Happy Spring Festival events carried out by the Chinese Embassy in Mongolia, and was hosted by Economic and Trade Counselor Song Xuejun.
